LCK 2025: Week 15 Day Four GenG Knock T1 Down While DNF Go Out Fighting

T1 had one last chance to finish second in the LCK Legend Group. Unfortunately, they were not successful, and GenG dismantled them in games two and three. T1 awaits their opponent in Round 1 of the Playoffs. DNF ended their LCK 2025 campaign with a loss against DK, who go into their match against BFX with another series victory under their belt. The final spot in the LCK post-season is up for grabs tomorrow with DRX taking on BRO.

Summary

The series started shaky for T1, with GenG targeting their botlane. Faker proved why he is one of the most reliable midlaners in the LCK. He stood tall to keep T1 in the game, giving them a chance to recover. T1 magic closed out the first game, but they could not find that for the rest of the series.

The targeting from GenG on Gumayusi continued to keep him down and give Ruler significant gold leads. A pentakill from Ruler capped off a tremendous series performance from him. The loss means T1 finishes the Legend Group in 3rd place and will start in Round 1 of the LCK playoffs.

Summary

In typical Rise Group fashion, the games and the series felt like a tennis match. Both teams had their advantages. But it was DK that garnered two game wins to emerge victorious in the series. Aiming’s game one performance was his best in Rounds 3 to 5. His team set him up with gold, and he delivered despite mistakes from Siwoo, Lucid, and Beryl in team fights.

DNF fought back in game two with Pyosik and Life leading the charge. Life’s glow-up at the end of the year was impressive, but unfortunately for him and DNF, it came too late. Hopefully, next year these players can return to the LCK and prove their worth in 2026. DK now looks forward to their first Play-In match against BFX.
