AL – Blue Side
Summary
On Gumayusi’s swap, T1 dives Flandre, with Oner getting the First Blood. The first Drake and Grubs go to AL. Oner catches Kael to get Gumayusi a reset and forces AL off the Drake. They catch Shanks as well and get the objective. Both kills go to Gumayusi. On the Rift Herald, Gumayusi last hits the objective, and they ace the fight.
The teamfighting from Keria is nearly perfect, and Gumayusi is up 3.5k gold. The saving grace for AL is that they secured the Drake. The snowball continues as AL can never get onto Gumayusi thanks to Oner, Keria, and Doran. T1 secures the Baron after killing four AL members. The Hail Mary from AL on the Baron push only kills Faker, and the series goes to the LCK team.
Finding a player to blame for this series is impossible. All ten players played exceptionally well. While there were mistakes on both sides, they all had moments where they carried games. With more experience on AL’s side, they could become dominant in the next few months. T1 has set up a rematch with GenG in the Grand Final to ensure a fifth straight international win for the LCK. The Grand Final promises to be exceptional, considering the last meeting between the LCK teams went to game five.
