Weforge Studios, the developer of the game, just announced the release date for early access for Macabre. It will be available globally for early access on September 29, in approximately a few weeks. The developers also released a trailer, which revealed gameplay and the stalker enemy players will face. Trapped inside a time rift, players will scavenge, sneak, and fight off a monster that follows them throughout the map.

A combination of Hunt: Showdown and GTFO, this is definitely a game people want. The demo ranked in the Top 50 of most-played titles at Steam Next Fest, which helped establish the game’s popularity. It also amassed 250,000 wishlists on Steam. If that doesn’t show just how popular the game is, even before its full release, then I don’t know what will.

Early Access Features

Some of the early access features that will be available for the game are as follows:

• Explore volatile procedural maps where environments and threats change every run
• Squad up with up to four players, or face the Rift alone in solo play
• Loot, scavenge, and extract rare resources before the Rift collapses

• Progress through Rift timelines by completing Banjo’s objectives
• New maps and monsters unlocked throughout Early Access

Though this game can be played solo, it heavily encourages co-op gameplay. From the trailer, co-op is the way to go. It’s hella funny playing with friends, or even in online matches. This is definitely a game people will want to check out, especially if they are looking for a new co-op game to play. Macabre will be available for early access on September 29, with the developers of the game intending to release it as a work in progress, developing with the feedback of players.
