Just when you thought the gaming world couldn’t get any wilder, PocketPair drops a bombshell. That’s right, the masterminds behind the chaotic creature-collecting survival game Palworld are dipping their toes into a new genre. Say hello to Palworld: Palfarm, a spin-off that dares to ask the question: “What if Stardew Valley had more assault rifles?”

You heard me. The same company that let us arm adorable sheep with rocket launchers is now giving us a cozy farming simulator. It’s like your unhinged, gun-toting cousin suddenly decided to take up knitting, and honestly, I’m here for it. Let’s dig into everything we know about this gloriously strange new farm adventure.

What is Palworld: Palfarm?

So, what’s the deal with Palfarm? PocketPair describes it as a game where you “team up with your friends and Pals to create a dream farm in solo or online multiplayer.” You’ll plant seeds, water your crops, harvest your veggies—all the wholesome stuff you’d expect from a farm sim. It looks like a cozy, slice-of-life game set on the familiar Palpagos Islands, where your Pals are your buddies, not just your sweatshop labor force. You can cook with them, give them gifts, and even get married with your Pals officiating the ceremony. I’m already picturing a Lovander awkwardly reading vows.

But this is PocketPair we’re talking about. They can’t just give us a normal, peaceful farming game. That would be boring! The trailer reveals that your idyllic farm life can turn to chaos at a moment’s notice.

How does Palfarm differ from Palworld?

While Palworld is a survival game at its core—think Ark: Survival Evolved but with cute knock-off Pokémon—Palfarm is leaning hard into the cozy life-sim genre. The focus is on building relationships, cultivating your land, and creating a community. The vibe is much more Harvest Moon than “I’m going to die of starvation if I don’t punch this tree.”

However, the signature Palworld insanity is still lurking just beneath the surface. The trailer hilariously shows “Nasty Pals” raiding your precious pumpkin patch. And how do you defend your crops? By arming your Pals with AK-47s, of course! One minute you’re peacefully watering your carrots, the next your monkey Pal is laying down suppressing fire like a scene out of Call of Duty. It’s this perfect, unhinged blend of cozy and chaotic that only PocketPair could pull off. You can even visit a black market to get your hands on some heavy-duty hardware. Because every good farm needs a secret arms dealer, right?

Will Palfarm have Multiplayer?

Yes! Dust off your overalls and get ready for some cooperative farming chaos. The Steam page confirms that Palworld: Palfarm will support online multiplayer. You and your friends can work together to build the ultimate farm, fend off those pesky crop-stealing Pals, and probably cause an unreasonable amount of mayhem. I can already imagine the arguments over who forgot to water the Tanzee tomatoes.

What is the Palfarm release date?

Hold your Chillet, because we don’t have a release date just yet. PocketPair has kept that information under wraps for now. The game is available to wishlist on Steam for PC, but there’s no word on a console release. Given Palworld’s massive success on Xbox, it’s a safe bet that we’ll see Palfarm make its way to consoles eventually, but for now, it’s a PC-only affair.

It’s also worth noting that PocketPair is still hard at work on Palworld itself, with a major 1.0 update slated for 2026. It seems likely Palfarm will launch sometime after that, but that’s just speculation. All we can do is sit back, relax, and patiently wait for our gun-toting farming adventure. And maybe keep an eye on Nintendo’s lawyers, who are probably watching this development with very keen interest.
