It’s been a feature since the very beginning of the Pokémon series, where a handful of Pokémon are completely unavailable in one version of a game, forcing you to trade with players of the other to complete your Pokédex – or buy both games. The Indigo Disk DLC is no different, as there is a handful of Pokémon you won’t be able to get in one version of the game, although at the very least this time the legendaries have a workaround.
We’ll list every version exclusive Pokémon in the Indigo Disk so you know what you’ll be missing out on.

The twist with the legendaries in this game is that they’re only version exclusive for Solo BBQs. If you instead complete lots of Group BBQs, then you’ll be able to override the version exclusivity and catch every Pokémon in one game.
