The Carnival of Love Timed Research requires you to purchase a ticket for $0.99 USD at the in-app store. You have until the event ends on February 15, 2024, at 8pm local time to complete all tasks and claim the associated rewards, otherwise they’ll be lost. Though it’s a pretty short Research, it does need some throwing skills on your part to be finished.

• Make 5 Great Curveball Throws in a row: Spinda (Heart Pattern)
• Complete all tasks in this step: Incense x2, XP x5,000, Stardust x2,500

Pokémon Go Carnival of Love: all Field Research Tasks

You can acquire the event-exclusive Field Research by spinning the photo discs of PokéStops while the Carnival of Love is in town. Unlike the Timed Research Tasks, you’ll be able to complete the Field Research Tasks whenever you want, as long as you have enough free task storage to keep them saved in the meantime.

Here are all available tasks and their rewards:

• Catch 5 Pokémon: Snubbull or Stufful
• Catch 10 Pokémon: Luvdisc, Furfrou, or Sinnoh Stone x1
• Make 5 Great Curveball Throws in a row: Spinda (Heart Pattern)
• Earn a Candy walking with your buddy: Roselia
• Trade a Pokémon: Clamperl
• Spin 5 PokéStops or Gyms: Poké Ball x5, Super Potion x2, or Stardust x200

Pokémon Go Carnival of Love: Collection Challenge

In addition to the Research Tasks, the Carnival of Love brings a Collection Challenge to tackle. It’s simple: Catch or evolve all Pokémon on the list below, and the challenge’s rewards will be all yours.

Completing the Carnival of Love Collection Challenge nets you the following rewards: Roserade, XP x5,000, Stardust x2,500.

It’s going to be a short and sweet event, so make sure you extract the maximum amount of value from it while you can. If you have lots of Pokémon to evolve, the Carnival of Love is a great event to do that in, as it awards you with two guaranteed Candy XL per evolution – that’s a solid bonus.
