It’s rumored that we’re in for a new Nintendo Direct soon, possibly even next week. Of course, that has Nintendo fans guessing away about which games will be included and which exciting announcements we will get. As people guess, a possible leak has surfaced about three games to be included in the Direct, along with a mysterious number to go with them.
As reported by My Nintendo News, the reputable leaker SwitchForce posted a video in which he presented guesses at what could be included in the possible upcoming Direct. He mentioned that three “7” games could be included in the presentation, though he didn’t mention which specific games. A lot of fans are eager for news on Metroid Prime 4: Beyond and Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment, neither of which are “7” games. As such, this has fans wondering exactly which kind of Nintendo Direct we might be in for.
As My Nintendo News reports, “guesses online seem to suggest that we could see Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, Final Fantasy 7: Rebirth, and Ace Attorney 7.” However, none of these games are from the first-party Nintendo series. Could this mean that the Direct will be a Partners Showcase, focusing on third-party developers? That seems unlikely, since Nintendo just hosted a Partners Showcase a few weeks ago, and fans are eager for news of upcoming first-party games. Still, nothing should be taken as certain, especially since Nintendo hasn’t even announced the Direct yet. We can only wait and hope that Nintendo delivers.
If rumors are to be believed, the Direct could be as early as September 12th. However, once again, we should be cautious about believing rumors. Still, if these leaks are to be believed, there’s a possibility that these “7” games will be all-new announcements instead of merely discussing the Switch 2 ports of third-party games. Perhaps the number 7 means that Nintendo will be doing seven special releases for Mario’s 40th anniversary. Anything is possible right now. No matter what Nintendo has in store for us, a new Direct will be welcomed by the fans.
