SHOCK Trailer – New Horror Game Demo Available at Steam Next Fest

SHOCK is a new horror game that appeared during The Horror Game Awards Halloween Showcase a few weeks ago. It is slated for release next year; however, a few days ago, the demo of the game became available for players on Steam. Here are all the details on the demo and what we can expect going forward for the game.

SHOCK Trailer and Demo

The trailer for SHOCK was pretty interesting. In this survival horror game, you play as a man named Jack River trying to escape from an abandoned indoor parking lot, and you wake up alone and wounded. I guess the most interesting part of the game is the fact that you have no legs. Your only means of moving around is in a wheelchair, and if not, you have to crawl around, dragging your body to move. This definitely makes the game a lot more terrifying because it already limits you at the beginning of the game.

The trailer starts you off in an abandoned parking lot, where apparently, noise attracts a creature that is stalking you. This creature is a cybernetic head that has some pretty gnarly kill graphics if you’re caught by it. This is a puzzle game that tests your wits and challenges you in many ways. Without legs, this may seem like an impossible challenge. You have to run, hide, and sneak around this terrifying creature, without legs, if I may state that again, all the while dealing with anxiety as you face off against these monsters, handicapped. 

Final Thoughts

SHOCK is a new survival horror game where you must survive an intensely terrifying ordeal, while not in the best condition. It begs the question: what would you do if you were met with a scary situation, and you were limited in how you could help yourself out of it? The demo is now available through October 20, so make sure you get to experience this new horror game before its release next year.
