Silent Hill f officially launched last week, and players have had a lot to say about this new installment. Recently, players have been talking about the long, comprehensive, and dark content warning that appears when you launch the game. The Silent Hill series is known to be a pretty dark game; however, fans were pretty stunned at the content warning of the game. Here’s what players had to say about it.

Silent Hill f Content Warning

The Silent Hill series is known to be a pretty dark game; however, the content warning on Silent Hill f stunned players with how comprehensive it was. The content warning reads:

“This game contains depictions of gender discrimination, child abuse, bullying, drug-induced hallucinations, torture, and graphic violence.

The game is set in Japan in the 1960s and contains depictions based on the customs and culture of that time. These depictions do not reflect the opinions or values of the developers or any individuals involved.

If you feel uncomfortable at any point, please take a break from playing or speak to someone you trust.”

This had players arguing that Silent Hill f would be even darker than Silent Hill 2, and we all know how that one ended. Honestly, we should’ve known how the content warning would’ve looked like, given that the devs have been warning players about the content of this game. But what do players have to say about?

What Did Players Have to Say About It?

There have been mixed responses from players about the content warning of Silent Hill f. Some players actually had no clue the content warning would be this extensive, even with all the warnings devs have made before the game launched last week. Some players complained on Reddit about he long warning while others appreciated it, saying they much preferred this rather than the game getting censored or tweaked.

Silent Hill deals with a lot of mature content, including abuse, gender discrimination, bullying, and graphic violence. As someone who has played the game, I know people can be sensitive towards such material, and an 18+ rating isn’t enough to warn people about what kind of content they will be experiencing. I definitely lean on the side of caution and appreciate the devs for including the disclaimer.
