The Black Market in Skull and Bones is where you can purchase all sorts of smuggled resources, weapons with special perks, rare cosmetics, blueprints, and more, so you might want to unlock it sooner rather than later in the game.
Skull and Bones doesn’t go out of its way to tell you about the black market, so you can easily miss it, especially if you don't complete a specific questline that becomes available at some point in the game.
Here’s everything you need to know about the Skull and Bones Black Market, how to unlock it, and what to expect there.
Unlocking the Black Market in Skull and Bones is relatively straightforward, and it all starts by talking to Yanita Nara, the manager of Le Pont Muet tavern at Sainte-Anne, your starting port.
The quest that asks you to do so is called “A Covert Initiation”, and will appear at some point as you progress with the game by completing contracts for Scurlock and doing pirate stuff to raise your infamy level.
Yanita will reveal the truth about the port’s tavern and the Smugglers’ Hideout it hosts behind a hidden door in the big barrel next to the bar counter, and this will start The Helm questline.
Pont Muet’s manager will show you around the hideout, explaining about The Helm and gradually introducing you to the activities there over a couple of missions.
To unlock the Black Market, you need to progress The Helm questline and complete two contracts for Yanita. Once you return to her after doing the quest “A Tight Ship”, she will grant you access to the Black Market.
The Helm’s Black Market in Skull and Bones lets you purchase smuggled resources, which are big piles of all the kinds of materials you’d need for crafting, a selection of weapons and armor that have special perks, special captain and ship cosmetics, rare blueprints, and more.
Everything available on the Black Market can be purchased only with Pieces of Eight, as it does not accept Silver.
Pieces of Eight are Skull and Bones’s second in-game currency, which is used to buy rare items and cosmetics and is much rarer than Silver.
One thing you can buy from the Black Market is the Pyromaniac Sambuk ship blueprint, so be sure to check our guide on how to get it and what you’ll need to build it.

The second-to-last mission of the Edge of Fate story puts players on a time crunch. If you run out of time, the mission fails. For veteran Destiny 2 players, they should not have issues keeping up with the time constraints. You will remember the majority of the paths from the Outer Steppes quest. Below is the guide on how to complete the mission. Destiny 2 Edge of Fate: Criticality Walkthrough Enemies during the mission will drop coolants that extend your timer. You return to the Reactor and must move to each generator area. Reactor Coolant Pump One Destroy the three disruptors. One is open from the start, one requires Vex boxes to be broken, and the last requires you to use Matterspark to enter a vent to reach. Access the terminal and break open the Vex box. Reactor Coolant Pump Two As you progress towards the second coolant, you will need to use your Matterspark and Mattermorph. Break three disruptors to open the terminal. Two disruptors have identical requirements as prior, while the third makes you break a pylon with Matterspark instead of going through a vent. Reactor Coolant Pump Three You will need to use Mattermorph to reach the third coolant. Continue to break Disruptors, with one requiring the Relocator to reach. Once completed, return to the Reactor. Defeat the Vex Hydra At the Reactor, you face a Hydra. Once the Hydra reaches 50% health, it gains a shield. Kill Vex throughout the area to expose disruptors. Once all three disruptors are dead, you can turn your attention to the Hydra. Killing the Hydra stabilizes the Reactor, and you get rewards. Deposit the Capsule Return to the Altar to deposit the final Capsule. Speak with Lodi and Orin to proceed. After hearing the Nine council on the next emissary and the guardian as a weapon, you are instructed to find III, who summoned you to Kepler.
Being the backup quarterback isn't necessarily the most exciting role for anyone, but for a team like the Miami Dolphins, where starter Tua Tagovailoa has suffered four concussions since entering the NFL in 2020, it could be vital. As of now, a clear battle for that spot has formed between rookie seventh-round pick Quinn Ewers and veteran former first-round selection Zach Wilson as they go head-to-head. Of course, training camp is where these kinds of questions can be solved, and so far, it appears that Ewers has done a good job in putting his best foot forward. On Friday, David Furones of the Sun Sentinel gave a very positive update on the young quarterback, stating, "Dolphins rookie QB Quinn Ewers had a strong third practice of training camp. Made several impressive, big-time throws." The update sparked conversations among many fans, both supporting Ewers and a serious showing that there's interest in seeing who comes out on top. "Show ‘em, Quinn," said one comment. "He just does a lot of things (anticipatory throws, timing throws, MOTF accuracy, etc.) that fit this system much better than what Wilson does. I think with refinement and development we could have a backup in Miami that can operate the offense efficiently…finally," said another. "Love to hear it!" a third added. A fourth stated, "I'd be surprised if he's not the backup.." "I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, Quinn Ewers has the physical tools to stick at the next level. It’s just a matter of shaping the rest," a fifth continued. "That’s QB2 potential QB1 in the future Glad we drafted Ewers," said another. Another big test for both Ewers and Wilson will be during the Dolphins' three preseason games, as the coaching staff will get a much better look at how these two perform during live matchups. Luckily for both, though, being the backup is all they're truly fighting for, as Kyle Crabbs of A to Z Sports predicts that each will make the final 53-man roster, with cuts needing to be made by Aug. 27.
The Arizona Diamondbacks have plenty of suitors for third baseman Eugenio Suarez. A new team has reportedly entered the market for his services. Scott Lauber of the Philadelphia Inquirer reported that the Phillies have reached out regarding Suarez. While Lauber did not provide any indication as to whether or not those talks have gained traction, the Phillies are an intriguing suitor for the Diamondbacks' third baseman. The Phillies' interest may be a recent development. Jon Heyman of the New York Post speculated on Friday that the Phillies could emerge as a suitor in the wake of third baseman Alec Bohm landing on the injured list with a fractured left rib. Suarez is in the midst of what is arguably his best season thus far. He has produced a .249/.321/.587 batting line in 421 plate appearances entering Saturday with 36 homers and a major league-leading 87 RBI. Suarez would be more than just another powerful bat in the lineup. Designated hitter Kyle Schwarber and first baseman Bryce Harper are both left-handed hitters — adding Suarez would provide more balance in the batting order. He would also provide a counter against opposing managers bringing in a lefty reliever to face Schwarber and Harper. The biggest question would be how the Phillies would handle an eventual logjam on the roster. Bohm is expected to return from the IL in mid-August and would not have a clear path to regular at-bats if Suarez were acquired. Schwarber could theoretically return to left field to open up playing time at the DH spot, but his outfield defense is mediocre at best. However, as the Phillies are also looking to upgrade the outfield, where Max Kepler and Brandon Marsh have been disappointments, adding Suarez could solve several problems in one fell swoop.
The Los Angeles Lakers are working on building a contender around last season's blockbuster addition of Luka Doncic, and could have their eyes on a player named the biggest "steal" of free agency. James Herbert of CBS Sports noted that former Boston Celtics star Malcolm Brogdon is still looking for his next NBA home and could be a bargain for a team that lands him. "After a couple of years in Portland and Washington, it feels like it's time for the veteran guard to get back on a winning team," Herbert wrote. "If healthy, he could be a real bargain for a contender -- it was only two years ago that he won Sixth Man of the Year in Boston." Bleacher Report's Timothy Rapp named the Lakers as a team to watch for Brogdon, who has shared his admiration for Lakers star LeBron James in the past. Speaking to Brandon “Scoop B” Robinson, the former NBA Rookie of the Year said he believes James is the greatest of all time and disagrees with those who use his longevity as an argument against him. “At 40, I think that LeBron is playing at a higher level, but I think medicine and I think science has come a long way,” Brogdon said. “But I think also longevity has to be counted for LeBron. He’s the first player in this game to have longevity that is counted against him, you know? It’s one of his downfalls.” Brodgon was a solid contributor for the Washington Wizards last season, scoring 12.7 points with 3.8 rebounds and 4.1 assists per game.
