The second-to-last mission of the Edge of Fate story puts players on a time crunch. If you run out of time, the mission fails. For veteran Destiny 2 players, they should not have issues keeping up with the time constraints. You will remember the majority of the paths from the Outer Steppes quest. Below is the guide on how to complete the mission.
Enemies during the mission will drop coolants that extend your timer. You return to the Reactor and must move to each generator area.
Reactor Coolant Pump One
Destroy the three disruptors. One is open from the start, one requires Vex boxes to be broken, and the last requires you to use Matterspark to enter a vent to reach. Access the terminal and break open the Vex box.
Reactor Coolant Pump Two
As you progress towards the second coolant, you will need to use your Matterspark and Mattermorph. Break three disruptors to open the terminal. Two disruptors have identical requirements as prior, while the third makes you break a pylon with Matterspark instead of going through a vent.
Reactor Coolant Pump Three
You will need to use Mattermorph to reach the third coolant. Continue to break Disruptors, with one requiring the Relocator to reach. Once completed, return to the Reactor.
Defeat the Vex Hydra
At the Reactor, you face a Hydra. Once the Hydra reaches 50% health, it gains a shield. Kill Vex throughout the area to expose disruptors. Once all three disruptors are dead, you can turn your attention to the Hydra. Killing the Hydra stabilizes the Reactor, and you get rewards.
Return to the Altar to deposit the final Capsule. Speak with Lodi and Orin to proceed. After hearing the Nine council on the next emissary and the guardian as a weapon, you are instructed to find III, who summoned you to Kepler.
