As of February 2025, the Steam Deck had sold 6 million units worldwide. Many gamers using the Steam Deck console wonder which games are the best to play currently, and that is why I’m here to list the 5 best games to play on the Steam Deck in 2025. Since the Steam Deck supports over 17,000 games based on compatibility with the device.

1. Elden Ring

Released: 25th February 2022

Developer: FromSoftware

Size: 60GB

This one’s the action RPG everyone was obsessed with for good reason. It’s basically Dark Souls in an open world, but with a touch of magic and horse-riding. It’s hard, yeah, but in a weirdly satisfying way. You’ll die a lot, but you’ll also keep coming back for more — especially with that eerie, beautiful world and crazy boss fights. And yes, it’s made by FromSoftware with a little story help from George R.R. Martin (yep, the Game of Thrones guy).

2 . Marvel’s Spider-Man (Remastered)

Released: 12th August 2022

Developer: Insomiac Games

Size: 75GB

This is pure superhero joy. Swinging around New York as Spidey never gets old, and the remaster looks absolutely stunning on PC or PS5. The combat is slick and satisfying, and the story’s got heart — like actual emotional punches, not just web-slinging. It’s a must-play for Marvel fans and even people who just love a good open-world game.

3. Cyberpunk 2077

Released: 10th December 2020

Developer: CD project Red

Size: 70GB

Man, this one had a rough launch — bugs, crashes, you name it. But now? It’s made a massive comeback. With updates and the Phantom Liberty DLC, it’s finally the futuristic RPG people hoped for. Night City feels alive, the characters are memorable (Keanu Reeves as Johnny Silverhand, come on), and the vibes are just cool. Think hacking, guns, neon, and questionable decisions.

4. Red Dead Redemption 2

Released: 26th October 2018

Developer: Rockstars Games

Size: 150GB

This is less of a game and more of an experience. You don’t just play RDR2 — you live in it. From robbing trains to brushing your horse and watching the sun set over the plains, it’s ridiculously immersive. The story hits hard, especially near the end, and Arthur Morgan is one of the most layered protagonists in gaming. It’s slow-paced, but in the best way

 5. Marvel Rivals

Released: December 6th, 2024

Developer: NetEase Games

Size: 70GB

This one’s newer and feels like Marvel meets Overwatch. It’s team-based PvP with big comic-book energy — you’ve got characters like Iron Man, Storm, and Spider-Man zipping around using flashy abilities. It’s still in early stages (beta and all), but it’s shaping up to be a fun, chaotic multiplayer game with a lot of potential — especially if you’re into fast-paced team fights.
