Tainted Grail The Fall of Avalon Drops Release Date

Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon is an Open-World Action RPG developed by Awaken Realms. The game has been in early access currently, but fans now have the date for the official release, which will add enhanced content and the full game experience. The RPG, inspired by Skyrim and Oblivion, has received very positive reviews thus far on Steam, and players have truly enjoyed the experience offered to them. Fans will be excited that, after two years, the game is finally nearing its 1.0 release.

Tainted Grail Set To Release May 23, 2025

Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon was first released for Early Access on Steam on March 30, 2023. For the last two years, Awaken Realms has been working to perfect the open-world action RPG based on feedback from the community. The developers, who also released Tainted Grail: Conquest, a roguelike deck-building RPG, and Nemesis: Lockdown, a turn-based sci-fi horror, finally dropped a release date trailer on April 25, as seen below.

As far as what will be new in the Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon 1.0 release, the company released a specific list on what to expect when compared to the early access installment:

• Third-person view
• Access to the full game! Three huge regions to explore (Misty Horns of the South, Cuanacht bathed in sun, and snowy Forlorn Swords)
• 50 to 70 hours of gameplay
• Full, branching main story quest with hundreds of different endings
• Over 200 side quests
• Over 250 unique NPCs
• Over 400 unique weapons, including shields
• Over 55 unique spells and 14 soul cubes
• Over 75 dungeons
• Over 100 unique enemies, including variants

The developers do not try to hide the comparisons between Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon and Skyrim/Oblivion. Fans of Oblivion may even notice the easter egg joke, referencing the armor DLC debacle at the end of the trailer. Still, the game can stand on its own as well, exploring a land that is stuck in perpetual autumn. The storyline is engaging and deep, giving players the opportunity to make choices that affect how the game plays out.
