Ghost of Yotei has had an amazing few weeks since its release at the beginning of October. With all the guide makers at work, some players are curious about what armors are best for which situations, how they are meant to be utilized, and what armor is best overall. In Ghost of Yotei, there are 12 different armor sets you can find, all with different strengths and weaknesses, and you can level up your armor the further you get in the game. Here are the five best armors you can find in the game, how they are used, and my pick for the best overall armor in the game.

Armor of the Undying

Armor of the Undying is overall the best armor you can find in the game. You can regenerate health during combat; it is the best armor to use with Perfect Parry and Perfect Dodge attacks, and increases Stagger damage against enemies. Leveling up the armor will increase the damage output and health regeneration you gain the more you level up.

Mercenary Attire

This is an outlier, and probably really low on the list of best armors in the game; however, this armor increases damage on throwable weapons, which increases the amount of Spirit you gain. Spirit is a resource used for special combat abilities, so it’s pretty important to keep some Spirit in stock. Wearing this armor in the early game can help you level up faster and provide smooth gameplay.

Crimson Kimono

Aside from being a beautifully crafted armor set, the Crimson Kimono is super useful in Chain Assassinations, which can be extended with this armor set. It also majorly decreases enemy detection and makes you a stealth master in the game.

Bounty Master Armor

This armor is also really good for Perfect Parry and Perfect Dodge attacks. It allows you to continuously attack after a Perfect Parry and increases your Spirit gains while you wear this particular armor.

Robes for Sitturaynu

This armor is the best armor to use in terms of exploration. Wearing the Robes for Sitturaynu will help guide you to important locations like Altars of Reflections, shamisen songs, and Sumi-e Painting locations. It doesn’t help much with combat, but if you have the free time and love to 100% things, this is the best armor to use.

Ghost of Yotei Best Armor

As I’ve said before, Armor of the Undying is the best overall armor in the game. It is really useful and has the best overall damage output in the game. Being able to regenerate health is also a major plus for this set. Ghost of Yotei is out now on all platforms, so make sure you get to experience this game for yourself.
