The pre-order trailer for the much-anticipated Vampire The Masquerade Bloodlines 2 debuted at Gamescom 2025. The first-person adventure, which releases on the PlayStation 5 later this year, promises to be chock-full of mystery, horror, and, of course, brutally sucking people’s blood.
The pre-order trailer, which debuted at Gamescom 2025, gives us a cinematic look at the blood-soaked world. This time around, you can play as two characters, Fabien and Phyre, and it looks like their stories will be intertwined throughout the game. There is a frequently recurring image of a tree growing in a field of sunflowers, and according to the trailer’s dialogue, it is an image from a recurring dream. It is also virtually the only peaceful image in the trailer, further highlighting that there is a secret to this tree.
The trailer’s tagline is “Unravel past memories or watch Seattle burn again.” In the original Vampire The Masquerade game, you could choose what kind of vampire you wanted to be. If you wanted, you could devour almost every human you came across. You could also choose to be a “noble” vampire who resisted blood, but this made the game harder since vampires, of course, get their strength from drinking blood. The sequel’s tagline indicates that you might have similar moral choices in this game as well.
Vampire The Masquerade Bloodlines 2 looks like a bloody awesome time, whether you want to immerse yourself in the story or just drink lots of blood. Vampire fans should definitely check it out – and if they haven’t yet played the first game, now is the perfect time to do so. Vampire The Masquerade Bloodlines 2 releases on October 21 as a PlayStation 5 exclusive, although it might come to other platforms later, so PC gamers should keep an eye on Steam.
