Is it free Epic Games Store games time again? Is it Thursday already? The week sure has flown by! As always, the good news is that we can claim some free games to play and take our minds off things. Yeah, those things. Ready for some games?

Nightingale

We’re going to talk about the best one first. Because who wants to wait for the really good stuff? Nightingale is an open-world survival game that takes place in a “Gaslamp fantasy world.” That’s right, your character will be dressed in Victorian style as you explore, gather, build, and fight. And, I can speak for this game because I’ve played it since shortly after it became available. It’s fun!

You are a survivor of a horrible incident that drove you to escape through a portal into the Faewild. You meet the wily Puck, who seems like a friend but has his own motives. That’s what you’d expect of a Fae. To survive, you collect resources, build your own structures, create weapons and clothing, pick up a helper, and search for a way to reach the city of Nightingale. You can play solo or with friends.

The game has various styles of building tilesets, so you can make your estate in a way you can be proud of. The places you visit include forests, deserts, and swamps. There are several difficulty settings, and you can change them at any time. You can fight with melee and ranged weapons, use tools to climb cliffs, and glide over the realms. And, if you’re worried about accessibility, the devs listened to feedback, and you can play in first person or third person. There are also other settings to make the game more comfortable to play.

It’s stunning, and my words don’t do it justice. You should just download it and see for yourself.

Firestone Online Idle RPG is always free, that’s true. But this week, you can claim a bundle worth $100 that includes a lot of in-game goodies. First, what is Firestone? As the title says, it’s an online RPG that has features of idle games. In the game, you collect heroes and upgrade their gear and skills. Then you can defeat bosses, send them on AFK missions, and even get into some PVP. Of course, there’s a guild system too.

To receive the bundle, install and log into the game through the Epic Games Store and reach stage 15, if you haven’t already.

The bundle includes:

  • Exclusive skin “The cheerful monk” for hero Benedictus Monk
  • 2 Avatars for your character profile
  • 10 Common chests, each containing at least 1 piece of Hero’s gear
  • 5 Uncommon chests containing at least 1 Uncommon gear
  • 10 Wooden chests with at least 1 piece of Hero’s jewels
  • 5 Iron chests with at least 1 Uncommon jewel
  • 360 Strange dust to train your Guardians or conduct Experiments

Free on the Epic Games Store Mobile

The Firestone offer is available through the Epic Games Store mobile store, too. Plus, another free game!

Doodle Devil is a puzzle game where you take on the role of the Devil by mixing various elements to create monsters, including demons and zombies. This is a game style we’ve seen before. You may have even played Doodle God, which is the same concept, but creating all forms of life. The game’s mechanics revolve around combining basic elements, such as Earth, Fire, Air, and Water, to create new things and then combining these things to create even more. The game’s description also says, “Every time you make something new, Doodle Devil will also serve up a joke or wry tidbit of wisdom.”

How to Claim Freebies From the Epic Games Store

Whether you want to play on your PC or your Android (or iOS) device, you can find the download information on the Epic Games Store website. If you’re on a PC, you can download the  Epic Games Launcher to access and play your games. I know, I know. That’s not exactly shocking, and you probably figured that out already.

For the mobile games, you’ll need the QR code. Use the camera on your mobile device to scan the QR code, which will direct you to the download page. You will have to enable downloads from other sources. (Other than the native app store, that is.) This app isn’t available on the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store. After installing the app, launch it, sign in, and then scroll down to find the current free game.

And that’s what we have for you this week! Check back next week, and we’ll highlight the new game offerings from the Epic Games Store. We’re staying on top of the latest gaming news, so you don’t have to worry about any FOMO.

Happy gaming!
