Winnie’s Hole is a new roguelite horror game from developer Twice Different. This new roguelite is slated to release sometime next year, and the devs have graced players with a trailer and demo of the new game. Here’s a breakdown of the trailer and what you can expect from playing the demo.

Winnie’s Hole Trailer

The trailer is a little crazy, which is fitting given the concept of the game is a little cuckoo. You play as a virus, that’s right, a virus, that has attached itself to Winnie the Pooh. Your goal is to infect and spread the virus throughout Winnie’s body. The trailer shows gameplay, where you travel throughout Winnie’s body, battling and capturing Winnie’s cells to mutate him the further you go. Every battle you engage and win, you can visibly see Winnie deform and mutate before your very eyes. It’s a little disturbing…

Twice Different will also be releasing an updated demo of the game at this year’s Steam Next Fest, which will be premiering next week. A demo of the game is currently available; however, devs have heard a lot of player feedback, and they will be updating their demo next week. With the update, the devs will be adding new actions and perks to expand gameplay. The battles are strategic, turn-based combat, and the devs capitalize on this. They’ve added new exit types and events, new maps, and random pickups.

The devs have also changed the way you receive mutation and perk rewards, which essentially helps you mutate Winnie even faster. Did I mention that deck building is another feature of this roguelite? Well, it is, and the devs have revamped the deck curating for players to make deck building more meaningful than just for collection.

Winnie’s Hole is a roguelite body horror game that is slated to release sometime next year. They’ve already garnered interest from players, given all the feedback the devs received from the first version of the demo, and I’m a little excited and a bit scared to see what the devs got cooking up for this game.
