Heading into Day Four of the Worlds Swiss Stage, one LCK team would find themselves in the 1-2 Bracket. Either the reigning LCK Champions or defending Worlds Champions would suffer that fate. GenG Esports dispatched T1 to give them a chance of qualification. Afterward, G2 Esports surprised everyone by knocking down Bilibili Gaming, setting up a chance for a T1 versus BLG elimination series. FlyQuest and Hanwha Life won their series comfortably, moving to the 2-1 Bracket.

Worlds 2025: FlyQuest Versus Team Secret Whales

FlyQuest drafted a scaling composition with Azir and Sion as their solo laners. TSW attempted a dive composition. However, through multiple misplays, Quad and Bwipo got ahead of the game. TSW could not find significant advantages as a result. By the time they got kills in fights, the lead was too much for them to overcome.

Worlds 2025: GenG Esports Versus T1

T1 made similar mistakes in the draft to TSW, picking a dive composition into Sion. They blundered worse, allowing GenG to have Poppy as well. Faker and Gumayusi were given Aurora and Kai’Sa, two champions that the players have struggled to perform on. Faker’s mechanics on the champion lack, while T1 rarely plays around Gumayusi as the sole win condition, which Kai’Sa needs. GenG slammed T1. Duro’s Poppy was a notable contribution to GenG’s success.

Ryze has been a blind pick mid laner for the majority of the year. The only champion teams have used as a counter to Ryze is Cassiopeia. She has had middling success. Another champion that thrives against Ryze is Anivia, but teams have not picked it until today. Caps picked Anivia and showed why. The utility from the champion, combined with its survivability, makes it ideal in drafts. G2 were the better team across the board, with Bin and Shad0w having disastrous performances.

Worlds 2025: Hanwha Life Esports Versus 100Thieves

After demolishing BLG, 100T has made teams take notice of them. Since then, they have received two beatdowns. HLE had a couple of slip-ups in the early game, but took over after the first team fight. Zeus showed why Sion has become a dominant blue side pick, earning the most kills on the champion at an international event while outdamaging Zeka on Azir. It has been a quick fall back to reality for the thieves as they head to 1-2 to bracket.

A Potential Finals Rematch

With the results today, T1 and BLG could meet in an elimination series. The two are the finalists from Worlds 2024. They will have to wait until tomorrow to see the draw. For the rest of the 1-2 teams, they will hope they can dodge either of them. The first elimination series begins tomorrow. Vivo Keyd Stars takes on PSG Talon, while Movistar KOI faces fellow LEC representative Fnatic.
