The Play-In match saw T1 emerge victorious 3-1 over Invictus Gaming. The Worlds’ Swiss Stage begins tomorrow with all sixteen teams looking to start their dream in the best way. Teams from Pool 1 were drawn against teams from Pool 3, while the Pool 2 teams faced each other. The draw was done live on stream. Eight matches will take place tomorrow. Which eight teams will emerge victorious on day one?
The first game of the Swiss Stage is scheduled to start at 10:00 PM PST (7:00 AM CET, October 15th). Each game will likely start around the hour. The times will depend on how long each matchup takes.
All matches are Best of Ones. The winner will move into the 1-0 pool, while the losers are placed in the 0-1 pool. The matches occur in this order, with breaks in between each to give teams time to set up on stage.

Winning the first game of the Swiss Stage does not guarantee a team’s success. G2 Esports, for example, has won its last two Round 1 Matches but failed to make the knockouts. T1, on the other hand, lost their first match, but ended up with a 3-1 record in Swiss and won Worlds. However, a victory can build confidence, especially if they can defy the odds.
