YapYap – Play The Free Demo on Steam Next Fest 2025

Steam Next Fest dropped a lot of demos for new games that will be coming out soon, and YapYap is one of those new games. YapYap is a new co-op horror game where you play as wizards who must vandalize, break, and steal items inside a tower. It’s another Lethal Company-like game that now has a free demo available on Steam. Here’s all we know about the game and the demo so far.

YapYap is a new magic-themed co-op horror game, where you are tasked to vandalize a rival wizard’s tower for the sole purpose of causing chaos. You can play with up to five other friends, and just like Lethal Company, proximity chat is a definite highlight of the game. One of the most unique aspects of this game is the fact that you can cast magic spells. You can find wands throughout the map that will hold different kinds of spells, and you have to use your voice to cast said spells as well. Pretty neat idea to immerse players in the game.

From the trailer demo, you can tell this is going to be a hilariously scary game. The devs at Maison Bap have done a good job at taking this Lethal Company-like game and putting their creative spin on it, from being able to cast magic spells and finding different wands with different abilities, to being able to use your actual voice to cast these spells. This game will leave you laughing and immersed in nonsensical missions at the behest of an unknown wizard. 

Release Date 

Currently, there is no release date for YapYap. The game is still in development, though there is a demo available on Steam. The demo will be available from October 13th to the 28th this year. Don’t miss out on playing the free demo with some friends, while it’s still available.
