ZZZ Sweet New Character – Ukinami Yuzuha

Version 2.0 of ZZZ has come and gone, rather more quickly than I expected, if I’m being perfectly honest. This means that 2.1 is upon us, and a new character is available to be pulled for. Ukinami Yuzuha, member of the Spook Shack faction (play the game to find out who they are) and tanuki co-player (yes, the tail and ears are fake).

What does Ukinami Yuzuha Do

Yuzuha is an S-Rank Physical Support who provides both ATK buffs to the party as well as providing additional Off-Field damage.

Sweet Revenge

Yuzuha has 2 main gameplay goals. The first is gaining and using Sugar Points. She will gain Sugar Points by Parrying an attack (either with a Defensive Assist or by Holding down her Basic Attack), using her EX Special, being part of a Chain Attack, or using her Ultimate.

When Yuzuha has Sugar Points, when other active characters hit an enemy, Yuzuha will deal Aftershock damage to them. This can happen once every 8 seconds, and the maximum amount of Sugar Points she can hold is 6.

Mix and Match

Yuzuha’s second goal is to apply Sweet Scare to enemies. She does this by using her EX Special. When enemies affected by Sweet Scare take attribute damage based on the active character’s attribute for the 1^st time, Yuzuha’s Aftershock attack will do damage of that attribute as well.

For example, if you apply Sweet Scare to an enemy, then switch to Soldier 11 and apply Fire damage from any of her abilities, Yuzuha’s Aftershock attack will do Fire damage instead of Physical.
