Las Vegas Aces point guard Kelsey Plum earned MVP honors in her first career WNBA All-Star Game with a record-breaking performance Sunday.
Plum, 27, tied the All-Star scoring record with 30 points to lead Team Wilson to a 134-112 win over Team Stewart. Her 12 made field goals were an All-Star game record.

Team captains A'ja Wilson of the Aces and Breanna Stewart of the Seattle Storm drafted rosters for the game last week. Plum was the second pick made by her Las Vegas teammate after Chicago Sky star Candace Parker was the first All-Star selected in the draft.
Plum was the first overall pick in the 2017 WNBA Draft when the Aces were still the San Antonio Silver Stars. After averaging under 10 points per game in each of her first three seasons, an Achilles tear kept her out for all of 2020. Last season, she returned to average 14.8 points per game and was the runner-up for the 2021 WNBA Most Improved Player.
This year, Plum has stepped up her play to an even higher level and is averaging 19.9 points per game with 5.7 assists and 3.0 rebounds. The Aces have the second-best record in the WNBA at 15-7, just one game behind the 16-6 Sky for first place.
