Aces Look to Break Franchise Record against Minnesota

After winning their twelfth straight game since the All-Star break against the Atlanta Dream and finally having some time to rest, the Las Vegas Aces (26-14) are looking for revenge against the Minnesota Lynx (32-8) after the Lynx handed them a 53-point loss earlier this season.

The two teams will tip-off at the T-Mobile Arena at 7pm PT. The game will be televised locally on Vegas 34 and streamed on Amazon Prime.

The Aces have been on a tear through the league since coming back from the All-Star break. With a win on Thursday, the Aces could break the franchise record for most consecutive wins.

Reigning MVP A’ja Wilson has put on a show for the last twelve games, earning back-to-back Player of the Week honors and Player of the Month for the month of August.

Wilson is making a strong case for another MVP award and Defensive Player of the Year.

Jackie Young is a 2025 All-WNBA candidate averaging 16.4 points and 4.8 assists per game during the Aces’ win streak.

Since the Aces’ return from the All-Star break, Chelsea Gray has increased her assists. Gray went from averaging 4.5 assists to 6.2 assists per game.

During their winning streak, four Aces players have increased their scoring average. Chelsea Gray is averaging 10.3 points NaLyssa Smith is averaging 7.6 points, Jewell Loyd 11.8 points, Dana Evans 6.8 points per game.

The Minnesota Lynx have not only secured the No. 1 spot but also homecourt advantage throughout the playoffs.

Naphessa Collier, who has been out 10 games with an ankle injury leads the Lynx and the league in scoring, averaging 23.5 points per game.

The Aces are 36-63 against Minnesota all-time and are 23-25 at home against the Lynx.

At the conclusion of this game, the Aces have three more games left in the regular season. They meet Chicago (9-30) at the T-Mobile Arena on September 7.
