Aces set to face the Storm for second time
Candice Ward-USA TODAY Sports

On Wednesday, The Las Vegas Aces will be taking on the Seattle Storm for the second time this season. The game will be televised on NBA TV starting at 7 pm.

This match up offers two teams in very opposite situations, with the Aces losing six of their past ten games and the Storm winning eight of their last ten games. The Las Vegas Aces are 6-6 with a one-game losing streak, while the Storm are 9-5.

Aces Storm

This is the second meeting between these teams this season, with the Storm winning the previous 78-65 .In the last game between these two teams, the Storm had four starters in double figures, led by Jewell Loyd’s 25 points.

A’ja Wilson led the Aces with 29 points, but only two players scored in double figures, while Jackie Young struggled, going 1-12 from the field and 1-6 from three. The Aces offense as a whole struggled to get going in the last matchup and they also would end up getting out rebounded 43-36.

This rematch has a twist, as the Aces will welcome back point guard Chelsea Gray, who will make her regular season debut in 2024. Coach Hammon intends to play Gray a little bit in different spots throughout the game and evaluate her on the fly.

Whether Gray plays significant minutes or not, her presence on the court will be a huge boost for the Aces, who have been struggling. It will also help Jackie Young and Kelsey Plum, who have been playing out of position while Gray has been out.

The Aces are looking to get back on track with a win before facing another tough game on Friday against the Connecticut Sun, who are 13-1 and in first place in the WNBA.
