The Las Vegas Aces have a bit of a situation.
Before they can begin a title run this upcoming season, the need to solve their salary cap situation is imperative.
According to Highposthoops.com, the Aces are in a unique situation, the team only needs to cut two player salaries to total to a combined $132,158. That would indeed add up the salaries of Crystal Bradford and Deja Kelly literally down to the dollar.
After getting a taste in the preseason, fans would be sad to see both players go. In the possibility that both players a waived, it would make room for the Aces to keep rookies Aaliyah Nye and Elizabeth Kitley on the team, who are quickly becoming fan favorites.
There is a chance that Kelly or Bradford would get the chance to stay.
Cheyenne Parker-Tyus revealed she is pregnant with her second child in April and will be on maternity leave for the majority of this year’s season (and both Parker-Tyus and the other player would be paid throughout the season).
In that particular situation, it leaves room for one last player until Parker-Tyus returns.
It will be interesting to see how the Aces fix this situation before the season starts.
