From the looks of things, the Las Vegas Aces were busy making moves on Friday.
Friday evening the Aces signed veteran guard Tiffany Mitchell and center Queen Egbo.
The Aces re-signed 6-5 center Egbo. Egbo signed her first contract with the Aces in September 2024.
Queen Egbo was initially signed to a seven-day contract on September 2, 2024 and then signed to a contract for the remainder of the season on September 16.
Egbo was initially drafted by the Indiana Fever in with the 10th overall pick in the 2022 WNBA Draft.
In her rookie season, she averaged 7.2 points per game, 6.3 rebounds and 1.2 blocks. She was named to the All-WNBA Rookie team.
For her career, Egbo has averaged 5.5 points per game and 4.8 rebounds per game.
Midway through the 2023 season, Egbo was traded to the Washington Mystics in exchange for Amanda Zahui B.
Egbo is a Houston native and played her collegiate career at Baylor, where she was apart of the 2019 Championship team.
Veteran guard Tiffany Mitchell had an offer on the table from Seattle but because of the ties to former South Carolina Gamecocks teammate, A’ja Wilson, the guard chose the Aces.
While with the Connecticut Sun, Mitchell averaged 8.6 points per game, 2.4 rebounds, and 1.8 assists per game.
With the Aces’ more open offensive system, Mitchell is in a much better position to make an impact on the team.
It will be interesting to see how these new additions add to an already stacked Aces roster.
