Aliyah Boston has been a key member of the Indiana Fever since being drafted first overall in 2023. In her three years with the franchise, she has established herself as a dominant two-way force, becoming a three-time All-Star and an All-Defensive Second Team member.

The 24-year-old forward has career averages of 14.5 points, 8.5 rebounds, 3.0 assists, 1.1 steals and 1.1 blocks per game.

Indiana has allowed Boston to thrive, and the former South Carolina star is expected to be a cornerstone piece for the Fever alongside Caitlin Clark for years to come.

Fortunately for Boston, the Fever are committed to investing in players to help them improve their respective games. That much is clear from the team's decision to build a $78 million, 108,000-square-foot performance center.

On Thursday, the Fever shared an update on the construction of the facility, sharing photos of its interior renderings.

Boston, for her part, shared her appreciation to the Fever for focusing on what could be beneficial to the players. She added that the team asked for the players' feedback on the facility to ensure that it would cater to their needs.

"Throughout this process, player feedback and needs have been the top priority for this training center, and I am grateful that our organization continues to invest in the Fever and set the standard for player care," Boston stated.

"Every aspect of our experience has been thought of, supporting who we are as players on the court just as much as who we are as people off of it. I can’t wait until we make this building our home next season."

According to the Fever's press release, the facility will include "light-filled, dual practice courts," a "comprehensive recovery suite," a "next-generation player locker room" and "lifestyle and support amenities" among others.

One amenity that stands out is what Indiana is calling "The Hub," described as a "central gathering space designed to celebrate team achievements and Fever history."

The facility, called the Indiana Fever Sports Performance Center, is scheduled to open before the 2027 WNBA season. It is located in downtown Indianapolis near Gainbridge Fieldhouse.
