The Indiana Fever’s road trip to Seattle carried more than the prospect of a second straight win; it was the stage for a major achievement by one of the franchise's brightest young stars.
During the second quarter of a tightly contested game (27-24 by the end of the first quarter), two-time WNBA All-Star and former first overall pick in 2023, Aliyah Boston, logged her 800th career rebound.
In doing so, she became just the ninth-fastest player in league history to reach the mark.
The milestone comes just two days after Boston's 26-point, 10-rebound performance against the Las Vegas Aces, her sixth double-double of the season.

Since getting drafted with the No. 1 pick out of South Carolina two years ago, Boston has rapidly established herself among the league's elite.
She has earned Rookie of the Year honors, consecutive All-Star nods and led the league in field goal percentage in her debut season.
Prior to joining Indiana, she won an NCAA title with the Gamecocks along with a slew of individual accolades, such as Naismith, Wooden, Wade, NCAA Tournament MOP and Defensive Player of the Year in 2022.
Entering Tuesday, the Fever were off two straight losses on the west coast, falling to the Golden State Valkyries and Las Vegas Aces.
Yet even in defeat, Boston's high-level work, averaging 14.7 points, 8.2 rebounds, 3.8 assists and 1.5 blocks coming into Tuesday night, already has her well-positioned for her third consecutive All-Star appearance.
The coming week features a handful of winnable games for Indiana, including a home matchup with the 4-11 Los Angeles Sparks and a road game versus the 4-12 Dallas Wings.
