Aliyah Boston's Appearance After Concerning Injury Draws Attention

Indiana Fever star Aliyah Boston's health status has been a major concern ever since she sustained an injury during Tuesday's game against the Seattle Storm.

Boston suffered the injury in the second quarter of the contest after she tripped over Flau'jae Johnson during a pick-and-roll play with Caitlin Clark. The Fever center crashed to the floor with her knee first, leaving her in immense pain.

The 24-year-old had to be taken off the floor and brought to the locker room. While she was listed as questionable to return, she didn't play again.

Head coach Stephanie White didn't provide an update after the game, but she said they didn't put Boston back in the game out of an abundance of caution. Boston was also seen walking in the tunnel and seemingly in good spirits after Indiana's 105-95 win against the Storm.

With Indiana playing the Portland Fire on the road on Friday, though, there are naturally questions about Boston's availability.

Fortunately, it looks like Boston's injury is not as serious as initially feared. She joined the team's practice on Thursday, with Indiana showing a video of her shooting a 3-pointer during a scrimmage.

Boston's appearance at practice sparked delight among fans, especially amid the concerns surrounding the four-time All-Star.

"ALIYAH THANK GOD," a commenter wrote. Another one said, "Good to see AB out there!"

"Thank you for showing us our girl AB!" a fan added.

"YAYYY HEY AB," a supporter stated.

A follower noted, "Good to see AB practicing."

"So glad Aaliyah Boston is OK. I see them winning tomorrow. If they play the same style of play, they played for a couple games now fast paced offense let Clark run the offense and their win easy," a hyped social media user shared.

Boston has been dealing with a lingering leg injury since the beginning of the season. That being said, it won't be surprising if the Fever remain cautious about her workload and availability moving forward.

Sure enough, it's encouraging to see her avoid a significant injury, especially at this point in the season when Indiana is trying to establish itself as a title contender.
