Angel Reese and the Chicago Sky didn’t have the 2025 WNBA season they hoped for, missing the playoffs for the second straight year after finishing with a 10-34 record. In fact, the Sky were tied for the league’s worst record with the Dallas Wings, a team led by All-Star rookie Paige Bueckers.
Still, Reese picked up right where she left off in her rookie year. The former LSU forward averaged career-highs of 14.7 points on 45.8% shooting and 3.7 assists, to go along with 12.6 rebounds per game, on her way to a second All-Star appearance. But following the season, Reese has remained busy, making her runway debut at the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show and releasing weekly episodes of her podcast, "Unapologetically Angel."
Reese has even expressed interest in having Bueckers as a guest on her podcast someday, especially since the two have competed against each other since they were in high school.
"I love Paige," Reese said. "Me and Paige have been competing against each other since we were in high school. She was the No. 1 player and I was the No. 2 player in our class and we literally have competed since we were kids. So I love Paige, we're gonna get Paige on the podcast."
While Bueckers hasn’t appeared on Reese’s podcast yet, on Tuesday, Reese sparked further excitement by teasing that something “really big” with the former UConn star is on the horizon. Maybe it's an appearance on the podcast, maybe it's something bigger.
"Me and Paige actually have something really big coming up together," Reese said on TikTok live. "Stay tuned.'

After winning her first national championship with UConn, Bueckers was selected No. 1 overall in the 2025 WNBA Draft. She made an immediate impact as a rookie, averaging 19.2 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 5.4 assists per game, on her way to Rookie of the Year and All-Star honors. Safe to say that any collaboration between Reese and Bueckers would draw plenty of attention from fans.
