Angel Reese fought for months to cement her place as a Rookie Of The Year candidate alongside Indiana Fever superstar Caitlin Clark this past summer only to suffer a season-ending wrist injury that effectively handed the trophy to her rival from The Hoosier State.
Reese's on-court dream was shattered as she cracked a bone in her wrist on Friday, September 6, but her off-court dreams continued to progress this off-season, culminating in a special moment at a Target department store on Tuesday.
"I remember when I wanted what I currently have. I'm grateful. Thank you God," Reese wrote on her Instagram story on Tuesday, foreshadowing her latest announcement.
"SOMEBODY PINCH ME AHHH," Reese wrote as she spotted her new signature cereal, 'Angel Reese's Puffs,' on store shelves at Target.
"Living my dream," Reese added as she stuffed her hand-held cart with boxes upon boxes of the sugary Family Size breakfast cereal.
A glimpse of the checkout section showed that Reese had officially stocked up on her cereal, fulfilling a longtime dream reminiscent of Olympic athlete's visages on Wheaties boxes following their successes on the biggest athletic stages.
Reese's Chicago Sky received the number three overall pick in next April's WNBA Draft and is projected to select 5-foot-10 Connecticut Huskies guard Azzi Fudd with their top five selection.
