Angel Reese has become one of the most recognizable athletes of her generation. She earned WNBA All-Star honors for the second straight season in 2025.
Her off-the-court accomplishments are as impressive as her rebounding skills on the WNBA courts. In fact, she has had a “star quotient” even before turning to pros.
Her fashionable look has contributed to a glamorous image. Her long nails and skillfully done eyebrows earned her the moniker “Bayou Barbie” after she became a star at LSU.
A fan had yelled that name during an LSU game, and Reese couldn’t have asked for a better nickname. As she adds a new chapter in life, another sizzling nickname has made its way.
Reese is set to appear in the Netflix series “The Hunting Wives.” Her character in the series will be known as “Trainer Barbie”, inspired by her most famous nickname.

Reese is building a prolific portfolio away from the court. She has emerged as a fashion icon and has aspirations to become an actor too. Thus, “The Hunting Wives” can catapult her to a whole new level.
Reese recently grabbed eyeballs during an appearance at the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, too.
Currently, Reese is in full healing mode. She is currently dealing with a back injury, which was one of the main reasons she missed 14 games for the Chicago Sky last season.
She didn’t participate in the 3x3 league Unrivaled, where she won the defensive player of the tournament honor last year. The Chicago Sky center is using the opportunity to expand her off-the-court horizons, with "Trainer Barbie" just the latest example of her expanding portfolio.
