Angel Reese welcomed the Chicago Sky's newest addition.

The Sky signed Marquesha Davis to a seven-day hardship contract on Tuesday morning. Davis played just 31 minutes off the New York Liberty's bench this season before getting waived last week.

Reese responded to her team's announcement on social media.

"Let's get it Q!" Reese wrote.

Reese should remember Davis from college, as the former SEC standout played for Arkansas and Ole Miss. The guard scored 21 points in a 2024 conference tournament loss to Reese's LSU Tigers right after registering a career-high 33 points in a quarterfinals win over Florida.

Davis received All-SEC honors in her fifth college season by averaging 14.0 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 1.5 steals per game. The Liberty selected her with the No. 11 pick of last year's draft, four slots after the Sky took Reese.

Unlike Reese, Davis hasn't received much professional playing time. She's averaged just 3.8 minutes over 29 games with the Liberty, collecting 32 points and 15 boards.

Davis briefly appeared off the bench in two lopsided victories over the Sky this season. The 24-year-old scored three points in her final appearance for the Liberty on July 6, a 79-70 loss to the Seattle Storm.

Davis joins a Sky squad trying to climb into the WNBA playoff picture. They entered the break at 7-15 following losses to the Minnesota Lynx and Atlanta Dream.

Ariel Atkins (leg) and Onyenwere (knee) will miss Tuesday's game against the Lynx, so the short-handed Sky added Davis on a hardship contract. Her deal will expire once Chicago has at least 10 healthy players, forcing the team to let Davis go or sign her to a standard contract.

Tuesday's game between the Sky and Lynx starts at 8 p.m. ET at the Target Center, where Minnesota has yet to lose in 2025.
