Angel Reese had something to say for herself after her recent unflattering episode.

The Chicago Sky star Reese got frustrated toward the end of Tuesday’s loss to the Washington Mystics at EagleBank Arena in Fairfax, Virginia. Reese was upset over a crucial late foul call with 30 seconds left in the fourth quarter and, as she was walking into the timeout huddle, smacked a clipboard out of Sky assistant coach Ann Crosby’s hands in anger.

In a post to her X page after the game, which Chicago narrowly lost to Washington 81-79, Reese explained herself. Reese said that it was “in the heat of the moment” and noted that Crosby told her not to apologize for it.

“Those ---- were p-ssing me off,” Reese said, in apparent reference to the referees. “Shoutout to Ann because she know it was the heat of the moment and she didn’t let me apologize because she knew! Not happening again tho.”

Reese, 23, was just selected to her second career WNBA All-Star team and holds season averages of 13.2 points, 12.9 rebounds, 3.9 assists and 1.6 steals per game. But the Sky continue to struggle in the standings and are now 5-13 overall, which is the second-worst record in the league.

Additionally, Reese has been extremely unhappy with the way that her team is being officiated and recently aired out a complaint about the refs over social media after another loss by the Sky. From the looks of it though, Reese’s days of assaulting local clipboards now appear to be over.
