The Chicago Sky recently earned their first win of the season, after starting off the year with an 0-4 record.

Chicago, who is now 1-4, defeated the Dallas Wings 97-92. With the loss to the Sky, the Wings fell to 1-5 on the season.

Both teams have struggled at the beginning of the WNBA season, but Chicago had fans excited with their latest announcement.

Sky star Courtney Vandersloot has become the all-time leading scorer of the Chicago Sky. During the matchup against the Wings, Vandersloot eclipsed 3,724 points in her career.

Upon the release of the announcement, Sky star Angel Reese took to social media, sharing the post, seemingly supporting the Chicago legend.

Courtney Vandersloot is currently playing in her first season back with the Chicago Sky. She played 12 seasons with the Sky, from 2011 to 2022, before making the move to the New York Liberty.

After a two-year stint with the Liberty, where she helped New York earn a WNBA title in 2024, Vandersloot decided to head back to Chicago where she originally started her professional journey.

She finished the Sky's most recent win over the Dallas Wings with 13 points, one rebound and nine assists.

So far this season, Vandersloot has posted 11.4 points, 3.0 rebounds and 6.0 assists per game.

Angel Reese, who's been a major part to the backbone of the Chicago Sky organization for the past two years, has averaged 9.2 points, 13.0 rebounds and 2.8 assists per game during her second season in the WNBA.
