Angel Reese, Hailey Van Lith injury update: Major update emerges on Chicago stars vs. Seattle
Kamil Krzaczynski-Imagn Images

Angel Reese is set to make her return from a back injury on Tuesday night against the Seattle Storm, the Chicago Sky announced on their pregame report. It will be the first game that the forward has played since July 29, as she sat out the previous seven games.

One would expect Reese to have some sort of minutes restriction given the time that she has been sidelined. Additionally, guards Ariel Atkins and Hailey Van Lith were also listed as available after both entered the game dealing with injuries of their own.

The Sky are 1-6 in the past seven games without Reese, so her return will be a welcome sight. This is the first time in a while that Chicago has been almost fully healthy, as Atkins and Van Lith previously missed a few games as well. Van Lith made her return on Aug. 3 and Atkins on Aug. 5.

Now with Angel Reese back in the fold following her injury recovery, the Sky can hopefully find some positive momentum to close out the final few weeks of the regular season. They currently sit in second-to-last place with a record of 8-25.

< p>So far this season, Reese is averaging 14.2 points, 12.6 rebounds and 3.7 assists in 23 games. Tip-off between the Sky and Storm is set for 8 p.m. ET on Tuesday at Wintrust Arena in Chicago.

Reebok announces release of Angel Reese 1 shoe

Reese agreed to an extension with Reebok recently, which included a signature shoe going back to last October. Now, nearly a year later, that shoe line has an official release date from the outlet.

Reebok announced the date for the release of the Angel Reese 1 last week. It officially dropped on Monday.

Reese has partnered with Reebok since her college career in October of 2023, with its basketball division having Shaquille O’Neal, a former legend himself at LSU, as president. She has since had several produc ts during her partnership with the brand over the past two years, including the announcement of this signature shoe coming at the time of her signing her extension during the fall of last year.

This is just the latest brand deal that Reese has profited from and continued to build her own name off of over the past few years. Her contracts have varied in their respective markets, with the most recent being a video game as she was named as the female cover athlete for NBA 2K26 in July.
