Angel Reese had an eventful Tuesday night, that's for sure.
Prior to Tuesday's game between the Chicago Sky and Phoenix Mercury, the WNBA provided an update on its investigation into alleged behavior at Gainbridge Fieldhouse earlier this month. Indiana fans were accused of making racist remarks towards Reese during the Sky-Fever game on May 17.
After conducting a thorough search, the WNBA revealed that it was unable to substantiate those claims.
"We have investigated the report of racist fan behavior in the vicinity of the court during the May 17, 2025, Chicago Sky at Indiana Fever game," the WNBA said in a statement. "Based on information gathered to date, including from relevant fans, team and arena staff, as well as audio and video review of the game, we have not substantiated it. The WNBA is committed to fostering a safe and inclusive environment for everyone and will continue to be vigilant in enforcing our fan code of conduct."
Reese hasn't said anything about the WNBA's findings. Instead, she let her game do the talking.
On Tuesday night, Reese had 13 points and 15 rebounds in a 94-89 loss to the Mercury.
With that performance in the books, Reese has become the fastest player in WNBA history to reach 500-plus points and 500-plus rebounds. It only took 38 games for her to accomplish that feat.
The previous record holder, Tina Charles, joined this exclusive club after 44 career games.
Since entering the WNBA in 2024, Reese has averaged 13.2 points and 13.2 rebounds per game. She's truly a double-double machine for the Sky.
WNBA fans will get to see Reese back on the floor Thursday against the Dallas Wings.
