Angel Reese Moved by Her Special Billboard in Chicago

Angel Reese has had quite a disappointing season with the Chicago Sky. Not only did the team fail to qualify for the playoffs, but they are also on track to finish worse than they did in the previous campaign.

Following Thursday's loss to the Phoenix Mercury, the Sky dropped to 9-29 this 2025. In 2024, the Windy City franchise finished with a 13-27 record.

Reese has been a bright spot for Chicago, though. Despite their disappointing run as a team, the 23-year-old forward has impressed with her improved play. She is averaging 14.4 points on an efficient 46.5% shooting, along with a league-leading 12.6 rebounds per game.

Aside from her on-court performance, Reese has also found plenty of success off the court. In addition to releasing her signature shoe with Reebok, the two-time WNBA All-Star was also revealed to be the cover athlete of NBA 2K26 WNBA edition.

Amid the success she's having off the court, Reese couldn't help but get emotional about it, especially after seeing her billboard on the West Side of Chicago.

"NEVER TAKING THIS MOMENT FOR GRANTED BUT SO GRATEFUL," Reese wrote, along with a photo collage of her billboard. "HAVING A NBA2K COVER & MY 1ST EVER SIGNATURE SHOE ON THE COVER IN THE CITY I PLAY IN! WOW."

Angel Reese Bracing for Big Offseason With Chicago Sky

While Reese had quite an eventful year on and off the court, the focus should soon shift on her and the Sky's future as the 2025 regular season nears its end.

Considering that they have a new coach and a more experienced core, there were hopes that the Sky would be able to make a jump after missing the playoffs in 2024. Unfortunately, that hasn't been the case.

A season-ending injury to Courtney Vandersloot and a concerning back issue that kept Angel Reese sidelined from some time didn't help the Sky at all. With that being said, it will be interesting to see what Chicago does to further strengthen the supporting cast around their star forward and further elevate the team.
