Angel Reese is using her detractors to her benefit with the latest colorway of her upcoming signature shoe.
This weekend the Chicago Sky forward revealed the second of two designs for the Reebok Angel Reese 1 just before the 2025 WNBA All-Star Game. This one featuring various shades of pink will be called "Mebounds" — a negative Angel has spun into a positive over the past few months.
Fans reacted to the new silhouette on X:

"Literally MINE. Not yours (yet) " Reese winked.
"Copyrighted a NBA twitter joke and profited off them losers," a user said.
"These are actually really good," a fan replied.
"Just got a paper accepted on how Angel Reese uses hip hop lyrics, semiotics, and cultural (coded) language to 'clap back' to naysayers — the media roll out of her latest shoe aligns with my findings," an assistant professor shared.
"She's operating on a different level than her haters," another person pointed out.
"Best sig in the WNBA this year ‼️" another user exclaimed.
"The fact she took a means of trolling her and turned it into a business deal potentially worth millions tells you she’s playing 4D chess," Erik Lambert commented.
"I hate (sports sense) Angel Reese. Hate her. That's how much it pains me to admit how brilliant it was for her team to trademark Mebounds and make it her thing," Dave Portnoy posted. "Brilliant. I hate how brilliant it is."
Reebok is attempting to revive its popularity by getting behind one of the biggest names in women's basketball and building its brand around her — and so far it appears to be paying dividends (at least culturally).
An official release date has yet to be announced for the "Mebounds" or previously teased "Diamond Dust" shoes, but the company has hinted that they'll be available soon.
