Angel Reese's Vulgar 4-Word Message to Caitlin Clark After On-Court Altercation Goes Viral
Trevor Ruszkowski

Since Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese’s WNBA debuts in 2024, fans have fueled a budding rivalry between the Indiana Fever and Chicago Sky—even if one didn’t originally exist.

Still, every time the two teams meet, tensions seem to rise—and on Saturday afternoon, things reached a boiling point, this time directly between Clark and Reese.

The Sky were in Indianapolis for their season opener against the Fever. During the third quarter, after Reese drove to the basket for a layup, Clark committed an intentional foul to stop the easy score. The play sent Reese to the ground in a hard fall—something she clearly didn’t take lightly.

Reese immediately got up and charged toward Clark before players and officials stepped in. Meanwhile, Clark walked away toward the other end of the court. The former Iowa standout was assessed a flagrant one foul for the play, and cameras appeared to catch Reese shouting a vulgar three-word message in Clark’s direction as frustration from the foul lingered.

"You crazy as [explicit]," Reese said in the direction of Clark.

The comment instantly went viral, surpassing 50,000 views and 1,000 likes on social media, and sparked mixed reactions from fans.

"It ain’t that serious lol," a fan said.

"Flops and then gets up like she about to do something," another fan posted

Someone else added, "Angel is irritating and cringe. So tired of her shenanigans."

One more fan commented, "The CC foul came after Reese two-hand shoved CC teammate in the back to get rebound. Show the entire sequence."

Following the incident, the game was still within reach at around a 10-point margin, but the Fever quickly extended their lead to over 20 heading into the fourth quarter. They closed out the game in dominant fashion to start the season 1–0, while the Sky dropped to 0–1.

Clark finished with a triple-double. Tallying 20 points, 10 assists, 10 rebounds, four blocks, and two steals—just one rebound shy of a triple-double. Reese recorded 12 points, 17 rebounds, and one assist in a strong showing of her own.
