There’s no doubt that Angel Reese is one of the most popular WNBA players today. And according to a new report, she’s also inching towards etching her name in the top 15 in career double-doubles.
Reese, who now plays for the Atlanta Dream after a trade ahead of the season, has always been a good rebounder. She was a monster at the boards back in LSU, and that skill carried over at the professional level. While her layup skills need some work, she’s fairly active in securing her and her teammate’s misses around the rim. And per a new report that’s quickly gaining rounds on X, Angel Reese is closing in on joining the top 15 in the WNBA’s all-time double-double list.
“Angel Reese is only two games into her third WNBA season, yet she already has more double-doubles than 97.5% of players to ever play in the league. After posting 12 points and 16 rebounds in her last outing, the 2x All-Star is now tied with Napheesa Collier and Crystal Langhorne for 28th on the WNBA’s all-time double-double list,” according to a popular hoops account on X.

“She needs just 20 more double-doubles to crack the top 15.”
That’s some impressive stat digging from the popular WNBA fan account on X. Achieving 20 more ten-plus points and ten-plus rebounds should be a breeze for Reese. She’ll get inside the top 15 sooner rather than later.
During the Atlanta Dream’s last outing while facing the Dallas Wings, Reese had 12 points and 16 rebounds in the win. She was all over the floor, securing rebounds at a high rate. But that wasn’t the main attraction from her that night. After being smothered by several Wings players under the basket, Angel Reese miraculously hit a tough layup.
While there was no foul called during the play, the 6-foot-4 forward immediately celebrated her tough basket by performing every imaginable gesture as she headed towards the other end of the floor. Well, after a basket like that, she deserves to showboat.
