Bec Allen ‘good to go’ after being listed as questionable, Charisma Osborne out for Mercury vs. Fever
Kyle Terada-USA TODAY Sports

The Phoenix Mercury are set for the highly-anticipated matinee against Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever but just as they are set for tip-off, Mercury rookie Charisma Osborne will be inactive with a lower left leg injury.

Osborne, Phoenix’s No. 25 pick in the 2024 WNBA Draft, has played two games in her debut season in the league, averaging one point, 0.5 assists and rebounds. After being waived after training camp, she became a free agent before she signed with the team on June 13.

Even though she was listed as questionable with a lower back issue on Sunday, Rebecca Allen is good to go according to Mercury head coach Nate Tibbetts. Allen has been in concussion protocol, hip injury during the preseason and a back injury before being able to play vs. the Atlanta Dream.

Like Allen, Temi Fagbenle will play despite dealing with a right thumb injury and Fever head coach Christie Sides credited her for being a warrior battling through it.

“Temi’s tough, and she’s ready to get some playing time, so I expect her to come in and help us when she can,” Sides said.

In her first season back in the WNBA after not playing since 2020, the Maryland native is averaging 9.0 points, 5.8 rebounds and 1.2 assists in nine games (two starts).

The game between the Mercury and Fever begins at noon PT.
