Breanna Stewart Admits The NY Liberty Are Not At Their Best Yet

The Liberty Are Not Convincing People That They Can Win

Injuries have played a factor, especially when the big three of Stewart, Sabrina Ionescu, and Jonquel Jones are undefeated when all three are part of the lineup.

With that, the rest of the Liberty roster must step up and help head coach Sandy Brondello emerge victorious. The team might be the favorites to win, but they still need to get big results, and that is not happening with the team's current state.

"It's easy to fight back when you're down. This is disappointing, collectively. Yeah, there can be bright spots and whatever, but we have three games left, and we're not where we need to be. It's frustrating, and it's tough," Stewart said after the loss to Golden State.

The Liberty Already Have A Spot In The Playoffs

Despite the dread they have been feeling as of late, the Liberty have secured their spot in the Playoffs. This came after the Indiana Fever lost on Monday, so the Liberty mathematically secured their spot despite losing to the Valkyries.

That achievement is impressive for the Liberty, but they have high expectations. If they keep playing badly, they might struggle in the long run. The Lynx are the favorites on the other side of the postseason bracket, so the Liberty must find their form before they reach the final stages of the postseason.
