Stewart also went to her X profile to express her emotions about the news.

“Plot twist,” she captioned her GIF post of a shocked reaction.

Despite being predicted to be one of the top picks at the first round of the 2025 WNBA draft, Olivia Miles decided to stay in college for one more season. Miles has recently hinted at this decision, following Notre Dame’s loss at the Sweet 16 stage of the NCAA Tournament.

“It just changes every day. I love college. I think I’ve outgrown it a little bit, though, so that makes my decision tougher to stay. It’s comfortable, a place where you have security,” Miles said after the game.

She also hinted at the possible reason she would forgo committing to the WNBA draft.

“The [WNBA], the volatility is up and down. So I don’t know. I’m deciding between a bunch of factors.”

Olivia Miles had an impressive 2024–2025 season with Notre Dame, averaging 15.4 points, 5.8 assists, and 5.6 rebounds per game. Her leadership and playmaking abilities were pivotal in guiding the Fighting Irish to the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament, where they were eliminated by TCU.
