Brittney Griner is currently playing in her first season with the Atlanta Dream, a WNBA team led by head coach Karl Smesko.

Griner has been playing alongside some of the biggest stars in the WNBA this season, Allisha Gray and Rhyne Howard. Gray has played her way into the WNBA MVP conversation during her first season with Griner.

While the Dream have already clinched a spot in the WNBA playoffs, they're still waiting on the final seeding in which they will be playing the postseason.

On Wednesday, Atlanta defeated the Connecticut Sun 88-72. Griner finished the matchup with 17 points and four rebounds.

After the game, it was reported that the Dream's playoff seeding will be determined by the final day of the regular season.

On Thursday, the Las Vegas Aces will be playing the Los Angeles Sparks.

If the Aces were to defeat the Sparks in their final regular-season game, they would earn the second spot. If Las Vegas were to suffer a loss to Los Angeles, the Dream would remain at the No. 2 spot, and the Aces would be the third seed in the WNBA.

Atlanta currently lies at No. 2 with a 30-14 record, while the Aces are the No. 3 WNBA team with a 29-14 record.

While Allisha Gray and Rhyne Howard have been starring for the Atlanta Dream for years, Brittney Griner has added an extra spark for the WNBA team led by Smesko.

Throughout her first season with the Dream, Griner has posted 9.6 points, 5.2 rebounds and 0.8 assists per game.
