Caitlin Clark has leveled up her game in Year 2. The Indiana Fever star has increased her scoring, assists and three-pointers, while also shooting at a more efficient clip compared to her rookie season.

In her mind, however, Clark believes that there is one particular player who deserves the Most Improved Player award this year. On Thursday, Clark made a bold declaration about teammate Lexie Hull as the frontrunner for the coveted MIP title.

"I'm just really proud of her," Clark said of Hull ahead of Indiana's game against the Golden State Valkyries. "She always just puts her head down and keeps working.

"In my eyes, I think she's probably the top player in this league for Most Improved. I think she's improved in every single statistical category.

"Just really happy for her and lucky to have a teammate like her, honestly."

As Clark said, Hull has improved in every single statistical category in the 11 games she's played so far this season. Entering Thursday's matchup against the Valkyries, Hull was averaging 9.6 points (5.5 points last season), 4.2 rebounds (2.5 last season), 1.6 assists (1.1 last season) and 1.2 steals (0.6 last season).

She's also knocking down 1.5 triples (1.1 last season) on a highly efficient 56.7% shooting clip (47.1% last season). All in all, Hull is shooting 48.8% from the field (44.1% last season).

On top of all that, Hull is considered one of—if not the—best defensive players on the Fever.

This is exactly why, in Clark's mind, no one is more deserving of the Most Improved Player award.
