WNBA star Caitlin Clark can draw attention even though she's injured. On Tuesday, Clark and the Indiana Fever faced the Washington Mystics to avenge their 83-77 loss on May 28. It's their second time playing against each other this season. However, they still don't have their star player on the roster.
Clark has been ruled out for at least two weeks because of a quad injury. This is the third straight game she's missed and could return after their Saturday game against the Chicago Sky. Her return game could be against the Atlanta Dream on June 10.
While she's injured, she's spent a ton of time sitting beside the coaching staff.
During their game against the Mystics, Clark was seated next to head coach Stephanie White. She was talking to her teammate, Sophie Cunningham, who was also out with an ankle issue. Then, she turned to White and gave her head coach a bracelet.
The two had a conversation after Clark's gesture and laughed.

The Fever has struggled without Clark in the lineup. Since her absence, the Fever has only won once. The Mystics had an 85-76 defeat in the second round of their regular-season bout.
All-Star guard Kelsey Mitchell led Indiana with her 24 points, three assists and two steals. Mitchell shot 57.1% from beyond the 3-point arc to snap the team's three-game losing streak.
For Washington, rookie Kiki Iriafen and veteran guard Brittney Sykes had 20 points apiece. The team will face Clark and the Fever two more times this season. The next contest between the two teams will be on August 15.
