A practice session at Gainbridge Fieldhouse on Friday offered a glimmer of positive news for Indiana Fever fans.

Star guard Caitlin Clark, sidelined since suffering a left quadriceps strain on May 24 against the New York Liberty, spoke openly with the media following team drills and announced that imaging results have cleared her leg for basketball activity.

Clark emphasized that the scans showed "nothing" structurally wrong, giving her the confidence to resume the high‑intensity change‑of‑direction movements critical to her game.

"I felt really good," she said, "and then honestly, just sprinting—change of direction and sprinting in the game of basketball. That’s the biggest part of it. So me feeling comfortable to be able to do those types of movements, and I’ve been doing that for a little bit now, and I feel really confident in that."

Clark’s injury was first announced by the Fever on May 26, when the team’s medical staff diagnosed her with a strained quadriceps and projected a minimum two‑week absence.

In Clark’s absence, Indiana went 2‑3 and currently sits at 4‑5, positioned seventh in the WNBA standings, trailing the league-leading Liberty by five games.

On Friday, however, Indiana revealed that Clark would be available for the Fever's home matchup with New York on Saturday, marking her return to the court for the first time in three weeks.

Clark’s return should help re‑energize the Fever’s offense, which has averaged just 76.5 points per game without her compared to 88.0 when she was on the court

As the WNBA season unfolds, all eyes will be on when and how Clark reintegrates into a Fever squad eager to establish itself as a championship contender.
