Caitlin Clark Leaves Court in Pain During Fourth Game Back From Injury

The Indiana Fever beat the Connecticut Sun 85-77 on Tuesday night, but the final image of Caitlin Clark in TD Garden was not a happy one.

The 23-year-old WNBA star, who has missed nine regular season games due to two separate muscle injuries this season, left the court in visible pain holding her right leg in the final moments of the Indiana win.

Clark finished the intense game with 14 points, eight rebounds and seven assists in 28 minutes. She appeared to hurt herself while throwing a pass to All-Star teammate Kelsey Mitchell with 39.3 seconds left in the fourth quarter.

Clark did not return to the game.

As she walked off the court, she held her right leg. Her previous injuries this season, the first she experienced across her college and professional career, were to her left quad and left groin.

The frustration was written all over the Fever star as she slammed her head onto the padded support under the basket.

Besides the fact that she has just returned from multiple agonizing weeks on the sideline, the timing of the injury is even worse because of what lies ahead.

The 2025 WNBA All-Star Game, for which Clark is a captain and a literal poster girl, is being played in Indianapolis at the Fever's home arena of Gainbridge Fieldhouse.

She had also been announced hours before the Sun game as one of the five participants in the WNBA 3-Point Contest during All-Star Weekend, competing with Sabrina Ionescu, Sonia Citron, Allisha Gray and Kelsey Plum.

Immediately after the game, Fever coach Stephanie White said there is " no update" right now on Clark's injury status going forward, but that she is being evaluated.

The Fever play again on Wednesday against the defending champion New York Liberty. The 3-Point Contest is on Friday night, before "Team Clark" takes on "Team Collier" in the All-Star Game on Saturday.
