The new salaries for WNBA stars Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese have been revealed. And though it means a giant pay bump for Reese, one can only assume she won’t be happy when she learns how much more her arch rival is making.

Earlier this week, the WNBA players accepted a proposed seven-year CBA by the WNBA Board of Governors. The CBA includes an increased minimum player salary from $250,000 in 2025 to $270,000, and the salary cap will grow from $1.5 million to $7 million.

As noted by ESPN’s Alexa Philippou, the CBA also includes a provision called the “Exceptional Performance on Initial Contract.” This would allow top players like Caitlin Clark to earn supermax salaries while they’re on a rookie contract.

According to Qwame Skinner of The Comeback, Clark’s 2026 salary has been raised to $527,155, as she earned All-WNBA First Team honors in her rookie year. As for Reese, her salary is a nice bump from $74,909 to $349,571, which is still well below Clark’s raise.

We’ll see if the outspoken Reese has something to say on this.

As if their rivalry didn’t have enough hype as is, fans got a kick out of Clark snubbing Reese during Team USA’s win over Puerto Rico in FIBA Women’s World Cup qualifying two weeks ago.

Fortunately for WNBA fans, they won’t have to wait too long for the Indiana Fever and Chicago Sky to meet when the 2026 season commences. The Fever and Sky will square off for the first of three meetings on June 11 (7:00 p.m. EST) at the Gainbridge Fieldhouse.

Their final two meetings will be played in the Windy City. On Aug. 8, they’ll face off in a Saturday afternoon clash (3:00 p.m. EST) at the United Center, home of the Chicago Bulls and Chicago Blackhawks. Their season series will conclude on Aug. 23 at Wintrust Arena.
